Arizona Monsoon Mini Shoot| Tucson Arizona Wedding Photographer

I know Arizona summers can sound bad, and believe me sometimes they are bad, but they have one thing that I wouldn't trade for anything: monsoons. Arizona monsoons bring the heat down, bring the clouds out, and bring the sunsets up. This shoot, happened just after a monsoon had cleared out. When you're a Tucson, Arizona photographer, these are the moments in July you live for. This shoot featured a Free People dress that had been dip dyed and florals by the amazing Sarah Hauer at Glitter and Pearl. Fellow photographers Amanda Bynum and Misty Hudson (wishing you the best in Colorado, Misty) styled this shoot along with Sarah.

Our couple, Michelle and Brian, were absolutely the sweetest. Although they had been married 6 years and had 4 children, it was apparent they were still just as crazy in love as when they first met. And they were so photogenic despite having FOUR people taking pictures of them and giving them directions at once. That can be uncomfortable for some, but these two handled it with grace.

This shoot took place in downtown Tucson in one of the historic neighborhoods. I love the colors of the walls, the amount of desert greenery, and the fact that I could see Sentinel Peak ("A" mountain) from the street. It was the perfect place for this styled session.

 I loved Michelle's sweet smile.

Sarah created such an organic set of florals for this shoot featuring maroon, coral, yellow, and white flowers. She used a chicken wire method to hold it all together without it being too structured.

The way Brian looks at Michelle is the way every husband should look at his wife! So much love.

Just another closeup of Sarah's creation. I could absolutely see myself carrying around an organic bouquet like this if it were my wedding day!

Here are just a few fun behind the scenes shots I took while Amanda and Misty were setting up some shots! I'm so grateful that I have an awesome creative community.
