Mt. Lemmon Wedding + Agua Caliente Sweetheart Session| Tucson Arizona Wedding Photographer
When you're a Tucson, Arizona photographer, you go to Mt. Lemmon alot. It is the one place in Tucson where you can get both "the desert" and "Flagstaff." This Mountain sees a lot of traffic in the winter when it's snowing and is known for having a community at the very of the mountain called Summerhaven where there is a restaurant called The Cookie Cabin. I was thrilled to find out that my May wedding would be on Mt. Lemmon. Good weather AND a chance to go to The Cookie Cabin? It was a photographer's dream.
Erica and Justin first met through a mutual friend. Erica had moved to Arizona from Nebraska after her friend had come out here. Since they met they've been through a lot, including a deployment. So, when they finally got married, they wanted it to be special, intimate, and in a place that was really them. Their Mt. Lemmon ceremony was just that. Tucked at the lookout at the end of Incinerator Ridge Road, their marriage was officiated by one of Justin's coworkers and was witnessed by just immediate family, a few close friends, and their dog, Lily (who was the most adorable ring bearer).
This couple put careful thought into their ceremony details which included a beautiful arch, rustic benches with navy blue bows, and a navy blue floor runner. Their ceremony was and short and sweet and so full of love.
This couple opted to have a sweetheart session after their wedding as well. On a beautiful day in Tucson (feeling nostalgic for our May weather), Erica, Justin and I ventured into Agua Caliente Park. Their love for each other was so tangible. As a photographer, I could feel and see it so clearly. Their session was so dreamy.
Congratulations you two! I'm so glad I could capture your love.
